The Auto Electrical Australia forum is a place for drivers, DIYers and auto electricians to share knowledge about vehicle electrics. To keep it useful and friendly, everyone agrees to these guidelines.
Keep it on topic
- Auto electrical topics only: wiring, batteries, charging, lighting, towing, 12V and 24V systems, diagnostics, air conditioning electrics, tools and parts.
- Search the guides and forum before posting. Your question may already be answered.
- Give useful details: vehicle make, model and year, what you’ve already checked, and any readings.
No complaints or criticism of businesses
- Don’t post complaints, reviews or criticism of any business, website, product seller or person, including Ozautoelectrics.
- If you have a problem with a business, use its own complaints process or your state consumer affairs agency.
Be respectful
- No abuse, harassment, discrimination or personal attacks.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Explain your reasoning.
- Everyone was a beginner once. Help newcomers.
Keep it safe and legal
- Don’t post advice that’s dangerous or illegal, such as bypassing safety systems, defeating airbags, or wiring that breaks road rules.
- Work on high-voltage hybrid and EV systems, airbags, refrigerant and fixed 240V wiring is for licensed professionals. Discussion is fine; step-by-step DIY instructions aren’t.
- Don’t post anyone’s personal details, including your own phone number or address.
No advertising or spam
- No advertising, self-promotion or affiliate links. Auto electrical businesses can list on our city sites instead.
- Links to manufacturer instructions and official rules are welcome.
